Program:
Our school goal is to teach sewing skills to children 6 - 12 and teens using kid friendly patterns and introducing them to fashion design concepts, including different sewing and fitting techniques, basic pattern manipulation, draping design, fashion illustration and understanding current trends in clothing styles and textiles.
Program is focused on sewing wearable clothing as well as creating craft and jewelry projects. This will provide an opportunity for students to express their creativity and learn to sew fashionable well-fitting garments for themselves as well as meeting new friends and having fun.

Designing clothing items based on skill level, including:
Pajama pants/ shorts
Night robes/ gowns
Skirts
Tops
Pants/ capris
Sweatshirts
Zipped hoodies
Dresses and much more.
Continuing students are encouraged to pursue their own creative projects.

Tuition is due at the beginning of 1st lesson of the month.
Supplies / Suggested Fabrics:
Sewing machines are provided for use during all classes. Students are welcome to bring their own sewing machine, along with the machine manual and all of the accessories, including the foot pedal, electric cord, presser feet, bobbins, etc. to class if would like to learn how to use it.

Students are not required to bring any supplies for the 1st class. Fabric is provided by the instructor during 1st lesson only.
Beginning with the 2nd class, students are responsible for purchasing their own fabrics and trims for all of their projects, as well as pre-washing the fabric according to the manufacturer's care instructions.
For beginners: At minimum, one continuous cut of 2.5 yards of fabric (Cotton or Cotton/Polyester blend, Flannel, Gingham, Batik, Challis, Calico, Sweatshirt Fleece, Synthetic Fleece, etc.) should be brought on the 2nd day of the camp. NOTE: Stretchy fabrics are not recommended for beginner students.
For continuing students: Same as above, or contact us for project ideas.
A limited choice of fabrics is available at an additional cost of $5 to $10 per yard, depending on the fabric type.
